The SCALES Open Justice Research Workshop is a virtual workshop for scholars across the United States in Law, Computer Science, Data Science, Journalism and Social Sciences. The SCALES OKN, funded by the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator award, aims to serve the people who research, report on, and regularly use court records.
Our goal is to bring transparency to the systems and processes of the U.S. courts, ensuring that they are fair, efficient, and accurate. Our workshop will feature presentations from last year’s incentive funding, an ideation session, and more incentive funding opportunities for projects that will further our mission.
